Barnim Panorama
A must-see!
Discover Barnim Nature Park in a special building showcasing a fascinating exhibition of tractors, old farming equipment and vehicles, and a number of nature themes. Follow our discovery path, explore our display garden, and conquer the tree-house. Uncover Barnim’s treasures in the ‘branch mountain’ or ‘amphibian theatre’, examine the imposing giant, and find lots of hidden animals. Be curious and have fun!

Fancy an outing with the whole family? Then we’ve got just the thing for you! There are some gorgeous forests and meadows in and around Wandlitz. Grab your parents, explore nature, and have a smell and taste of what’s under the trees.
We run a wide variety of interactive nature tours and guided walks – an exciting journey for little herb witches and foresters. A forest school even invites interested groups on an expedition.
The Dandelion Path
A treasure hunt in the Schönerlinder Ponds
The circuit stretches for 4 km through the former ponds and old irrigation field, which have created a space for some very unique nature. It’s a place where water buffalo and wild horses graze, where you can enjoy the ‘hedge adventure’, climb a lookout tower, and observe water birds and bees. You can even go on a treasure hunt along our Dandelion Path, where the ‘Treasure of Barnim Nature Park’ is hidden as a geocaching point. Prepare to be surprised!
Wildpark Schorfheide - Truly wild!
For the zoologists amongst you, we also recommend an excursion to the wildlife park in Schorfheide, where you can see elk, bison, deer, lynx, wolves and many other animals. A petting enclosure, adventure playground and good food make the day a real experience! Attend demonstration feeds or werewolf nights. The wild life park is a largely wheelchair-accessible establishment.
Eberswalde zoo - For a roaring good time!
A visit to this fantastic zoo in Eberswalde is an absolute must – a compact, unique attraction housing 1,500 animals from five continents. You can get up close with lions, tigers, monkeys, penguins and kangaroos. And if the parents get tired, you can romp around in five adventure playgrounds!

Germendorf zoo, amusement park & dinosaur park - Truly fascinating!
Get set to explore a dinosaur park, 650 species of animal, a monkey island, a petting zoo, a whole lot of sporting and adventure options, and even a bathing lake. That’s one way to spend a day off! The site of a former gravel pit is now a pure paradise for kids and families!
The park is a wheelchair-accessible facility.

Bike & skating track in the Schönower Heide
Ride along the old irrigation fields on a 3-m-wide cycling track from Schönwalde/Am Gorinsee to Hobrechtsfelde to the Schönower Heide. Observe the local wild horses and cattle, and keep an eye out for fallow deer, European mouflon and red deer in the captivating heath landscape from the lookout tower.
